
Jocelyn Oballe joined the Down East Bird Dawgs as an Intern for the 2025 inaugural season. Originally from Alpharetta, Georgia, Oballe is no stranger to the world of sports. She began playing soccer at the age of 4 and continued through college, competing all four years for Valdosta State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
Throughout Oballe’s academic journey, she earned recognition on the Gulf South Conference Honor Roll three consecutive times and made the Dean’s List on three occasions at VSU. Outside of academics, Oballe actively participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, reflecting her commitment to leadership and community service.
Oballe aspires to build a career in the sports industry, focusing on operations and business strategy. Her ultimate goal is to apply her skills and passion to enhance organizational efficiency and build a positive team culture. Oballe views her internship with the Bird Dawgs as a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a baseball organization, while learning the details of its operations and by contributing meaningfully to its success.
In addition to her internship, Oballe is pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA), with anticipated graduation in May 2026!
